Craftasaurus is a one-person workshop. Furniture, forged hardware, and laser-cut pieces, each one drawn, built, and finished to be kept.
Three materials, one bench.
Wood, steel, and a laser. Different tools, the same rule: cut it well, finish it honestly, and leave the marks that prove a person made it.

Furniture and knickknacks, cut and joined by hand. Beautiful wood grains sanded to a glassy finish.

Forged hardware and ironwork. Heated in the coals, hammered on the anvil, then quenched. The hammer marks stay.

Clean cuts and engraving for signs, boxes, and inlay. Drawn first, then cut with precision.
The making
Nothing hides on a piece made by hand.
Three stages, start to finish.

Drawing
Every piece starts on paper. Sizes, the joinery, the stock. Nothing gets cut until the drawing is right.

Making
Then the bench. Sawdust, forge scale, the tool in the hand. This is where the hours go and where the marks are made.

Finishing
Oil, wax, or a hand-rubbed patina. Sanded, checked, and signed on the underside before it is packed and shipped.

Made by a passionate crafter
I run Craftasaurus on my own. I draw it, cut it, forge it, and finish it. No production line, no outsourcing, no piece leaving here that I would not keep myself.
When something carries a plane mark or a hammer face, that is not a flaw to sand away. It is the proof that a person made it, for you, out of a real material that will age and last.

How does a commission work?
Email me at dino@craftasaurusrex.com or send a DM on Instagram. We talk through what you want — the size, the material, the look. I send you an estimate for what it will cost and how long it will take. Once you’re happy with it, I start the work.
What does a piece cost?
Every piece is priced on its own — the material, the size, and the hours all differ. You get the number in the estimate, before any work starts. No surprises after.
How long will it take?
A small sign and a desk are different animals, so I don’t promise a blanket number. The estimate includes an honest timeline for your piece, and if something slips, you hear it from me first.
How does payment work?
We agree on it when you accept the estimate. No webshop, no checkout — just the two of us sorting out what works.
Do you ship?
Within Norway, yes — shipping is worked out from the size and weight of the piece. Outside Norway, we figure it out case by case; ask, and you’ll know what shipping costs before you commit to anything.
What if something is wrong with my piece?
A commissioned piece is made for you, so I don’t take returns on custom work. But if the materials or my workmanship let you down, tell me and I’ll make it right — a repair or a remake, whatever it takes. Anything else, talk to me and we’ll sort it out.
What materials and finishes can I choose?
Solid hardwoods — elm, oak, and walnut among them — mild and tool steel, and laser-cut wood. Finishes are oil, wax, or a hand-rubbed patina. Pick what you like, or describe the look you’re after and I’ll suggest what suits it.
How do I look after it?
Oiled wood wants a wipe-down when it gets wet and fresh oil about once a year. Waxed steel wants to stay dry, with a new coat of wax when it starts to dull. If you’re not sure what your piece was finished with, ask me — I made it, I remember.
Do you take repairs or one-off jobs?
Ask. If it’s something I can do well, I’ll say yes. If it isn’t, I’ll say that too.

Both work. English is easiest for me, but Norwegian is fine — skriv i vei.
